DAVID ESSEX
in Cheltenham

On Saturday 4th November 2006 I went to see DAVID ESSEX who was playing at the Town Hall in Cheltenham. The concert opened with two new tracks BEAUTIFUL DAY and DUST TO DUST before going into a song called IF I COULD which was spoilt for me by the woman next to me shouting all the time. We then had a brilliant version of SILVER DREAM MACHINE complete with back projection of scenes from the film Silver Dream Racer followed by ROCK ON. He then gave us some chat before performing another new track called FUNFAIR which made me think of the films That'll Be The Day and Stardust.

• DAVE WALLACE - Drums

Other songs performed included LAMPLIGHT, WHAT DID I DO (another new track), HOLD ME CLOSE and GONNA MAKE YOU A STAR.
